Set of Four Framed Engravings

An extraordinary set of four large early engravings in unique custom made carved wood and painted frames - hand painted to imitate Fortuny fabric - the hand coloured engravings are by Joseph Mulder 1658 - 1742 a renowned engraver from the Dutch Golden Age of Printmakers - he was a pupil of Hendrick Bogaert 1630 - 1775 - I believe these engravings are from a book "Insects of Suriname" published in 1726

The frames and engravings are in excellent condition

Overall framed size is 19" x 26.5"
